Day Of Gold
September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, and gold is the official color representing children battling pediatric cancer. In honor of these children, we would love to invite your school, business or community to participate in Josephine’s Garden Day of Gold. This is a simple and meaningful fundraiser supporting pediatric cancer research and family support programs in New Jersey.
Josephine’s Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in memory of Josephine Hartung-Rispoli, who lost her battle with a rare brain tumor at just seven years old. Since 2011, Josephine’s Garden has supported children and families through pediatric cancer research initiatives and programs at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital and the Center of Discovery and Innovation.
Participating is easy:
Students and staff wear gold on a chosen day in September or any other month of the year!
Families are invited to make a suggested donation of $5
Participants receive a special bracelet or pin designed by Josephine’s mom
Josephine’s Garden provides all promotional materials, including digital flyers, posters, and bracelets or pins. I am also happy to visit your school to briefly speak about pediatric cancer awareness if interested.
Funds raised directly support pediatric cancer research and programs benefiting children receiving treatment in New Jersey.
We would be honored to have your school join us for this special day of awareness, compassion, and hope.
